  • 2024-03-31

    ($3,000-$12,000) - To recognize achievement by blind scholars, the National Federation of the Blind annually offers blind college students in the United States and Puerto Rico the opportunity to win one of thirty merit-based, national-level scholarships. All scholarships awarded are based on academic excellence, community service, and leadership.

    Open to all U.S. HS students. Applicant must submit an original poem with 20 lines or less. Up to $500.

  • 2024-03-29

    For  students from disadvantaged backgrounds who are pursuing careers in biomedical, behavioral, & social science health-related research. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.3 GPA or rank in the top 5% of their class & demonstrate exceptional financial need. Must be accepted to an accredited 4-year institution. Up to  $20,000  per year. Renewable for 4 years.

    $100,000 in scholarships available especially for students w/strong academics & whose parents are in the military or veterans of the armed forces.

  • 2024-03-13

    ($20,000) - All candidates must be HS students living with a disability who plan to attend a 2 to 4-year university or college program, maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA or equivalent and have declared a major from the approved list.

  • 2024-03-01

    ($5,000) - Renewable scholarships to underrepresented minority students who want to enter the fields of chemistry or chemistry-related fields. Awards of up to $5,000* are given to qualified students. African American, Hispanic, or American Indian HS seniors or college freshman, sophomores, or juniors pursuing a college degree in the chemical sciences or chemical technology are eligible to apply.

    This contest is open to students in grades 9-12 worldwide and asks students to examine, question, and reflect on important concepts in genetics.

    $1,000 individual scholarships. Must be a graduating HS  senior who plans to attend a 2- or 4-year college, w/ a min. 3.0 GPS, & be a member of Sound Credit Union.

  • 2024-02-29

    The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS) supports low- and middle-income students pursuing eligible high-demand majors in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care and encourages recipients to work in Washington state once they complete their degrees.

    Scholarships for Native American students who plan to enter or are pursuing degrees in the health profession.

  • 2024-02-16

    ($2,000) - Each year, ACPE awards scholarships to graduating seniors who plan to study technology. Successful applicants have studied and used technology innovatively throughout high school and can demonstrate their work through a project. The project itself can take many forms, including but not limited to a website, app, video, podcast, webcast, etc., produced sometime during their high school years.

    Free residential journalism and college preparatory program for high-achieving current juniors from low-income backgrounds interested in journalism. All program expenses, including meals, housing, and transportation covered.

    Open only to U.S. college students between the ages of 17 and 24. Three scholarships with prizes totaling $20,000 will be awarded to the best original songs submitted to the competition.

  • 2024-02-15

    For 7-12 graders. Must submit up to 3 haiku poems. All haiku must be previously unpublished, original work, & not entered in any other contest or submitted elsewhere for publication. $50. 

  • 2024-02-10

    For HS seniors who are undocumented and Latinx. $500-1,000.
